My school is named after one of the greatest Poles- Mikołaj Kopernik. I will try to tell you who he was.

Mikołaj Kopernik (in Latin Nicolaus Copernicus Torinensis or Thorunensis or Torunensis) was born

on 19 February 1473 in Toruń, died on 24 May 1543 in Frombork.

Astronomer, mathematician, lawyer, economist, strategist, physician, astrologer, Chancellor of the Chapter of Warmia since 1511, Canon of Warmia, scholastic of Wrocław.

Kopernik is mostly known for his heliocentric vision of the universe.

His name was also given to the root- 112 copernicium.

In the past, it was a primary school, but because of a huge number of students, it had to be split into two separate schools, what gave the primary school nr 1 and nr 2. Although the name suggests otherwise, nr 2 was not created later; after some changes it was turned into high school. Here everyone can develop their skills and interests. Teachers and my classmates are friendly and always ready to help.

The school is very big. It has a basement with a shop and canteen. There are also two floors where the classrooms are placed. In the building there is also a medium-sized gymnasium, and in winter we have a backyard icerink.

This is how my school looks like:
